As the relationships among the people involved in the review process can too often be tense, even problematic, the hope is that this research will help improve the relationships involved, improve the ethics review process and make it more efficient and effective, and encourage the development and conduct of research that meets the highest ethical standards. It provided information that should help everyone involved to better address the issues involved and allow the development of research and ethics programs, policies, applications, and educational efforts that are less problematic for all parties concerned. In addition, it contributed to what we can call the “anthropology of ethics.”
