The research was based on the premise that ethics are cultural and they reflect the culture of society. As ethics are based on morals, values, norms, beliefs and way of conceptualising and judging human behaviour, they are cultural. They are, in fact, fundamentals of culture and cultural difference. As the research explored the perspectives of a wide variety of people affected by the ethics review process from an anthropological perspective, it is an attempt to achieve a “view from manywheres” (Shweder, 2003).
