THE ETHICS PROJECT

Acknowledgements

This project received funding from the Transcultural Mental Health Centre, Sydney; what was then known as the School of Occupation and Leisure Sciences at the University of Sydney; and the Faculty of Health Sciences, The University of Sydney. Its primary funding came from a three year (2003-2005) ARC (Australian Research Council) Discovery Grant) (DP0343014) awarded to Maureen Fitzgerald.

An expression of sincere appreciation goes out to the many people who so generously shared their time, knowledge, and ideas, and the many who still do so. Thank you to all the departments that served as hosts during my study leave during 2002.

A special thank you goes to Elisa Yule , who was the Project Assistant for one year of the project, and to Paul Philips for his contributions during his year as Project Assistant. Funding for Elisa and Paul's work came from a PhD scholarship that was included as part of the ARC grant. Thanks also to Elise Chater, a Faculty of Health Sciences Vacation Research Scholarship Student in 2004, and Yaser Mohammad, a Project Assistant funded by a University of Sydney Faculty of Health Sciences Research Infrastructure Block Grant.

I took all but three of the photographs currently on the site (© Maureen H. Fitzgerald). Photos, particularly those from Australia, are changed regularly.  The professional photograph on the Project Director page was taken by Pierre Mardaga of PM Photography,  Paul provided his picture on the Contact Us page and a friend took the picture of me on that page at Maroubra Beach with my camera.
